A retrofit demonstration project to showcase construction innovation in action—delivering healthy, low-carbon homes with an unfinished internal fit-out to serve as a hands-on learning space for Farnborough Construction College.

Created as an internal retrofit project within an existing structure, the build serves as a permanent learning space to showcase innovative, and engineered construction methods. Most of the panels have been left unfinished and uninsulated, as thermal performance wasn’t required in this setting—allowing the structure and materials to remain visible for educational purposes.
The entire installation was completed without powered lifting equipment, highlighting the system’s lightweight design and suitability for small teams or restricted sites.
By exposing the core components of the ADEPT system, the Half House helps demystify modern construction techniques and supports broader learning across a range of subjects.
